Mr Ken Anderson of KTL, Hull was the lucky recipient of the "golden CD" at the Automotive EMC 2003 conference held on 6th November at the Marriot-Courtyard Hotel in Milton Keynes. Mr Anderson won an antique copy of "Automobile Electricity" from September 1926 as the prize and is shown being presented with his winning copy and replacement proceedings by Christine Hodgins of 3C Test Ltd, the conferences registrar.

The Automotive EMC 2003 conference and exhibition offered a highly focused event for automotive electrical designers and EMC test professionals and was a great success. Over 60 attendees listened to 14 high calibre presentations on the current state-of-the-art in the Automotive EMC field, including the latest information on the e-marking standard, transient requirements, simulation results for electric drives, battery supply and whole vehicle configurations, facilities for EMC testing automotive components and vehicles, the OEM environment and leading design aspects of EMC for the automotive marketplace.
The exhibition featured 12 table-top displays from some of the leading suppliers of test services, test equipment, simulation software and EMC components. Details of the exhibitors are still available via the Automotive EMC network. The conference proceedings supplied on CD-ROM are being made available after the event, this includes the 160 page PDF file of the conference papers, a separate 159 page PDF file containing all the presentations at the conference, speaker biographies, exhibitor information, sponsors details and contact information for the Automotive EMC network. The CD-ROM includes a HTML based index allowing papers and presentations to be individually accessed.
