Traffic Jam

The Auto Club Europa (ACE) in Stuttgart, Germany said 1,833 motorists took part in an Internet survey on what occupies their thoughts when traffic comes to a standstill:

• 33% fantasise about sex

• 10% percent think of finding an alternate route

• 8% think about how much petrol they have

• 7% think about their next meal

• 7% think about going to a toilet

• 7% focus on shopping lists

• 7% worry about the damage the traffic jam might do to their clutch

• 6% think about their careers

• 6% said they don't think about anything in traffic jams

• One in ten focus on their families
